S3 Ep10: Neurodivergence, Intersectionality and Intergenerational Trauma with Leah Lewin
Today I talk to Leah Lewin, aka the perinatal specialist. Leah is a birth worker and consultant with extensive expertise in trauma-informed care, birth trauma, perinatal mental health, and obstetric violence.
In this episode we discuss intersectionality and perinatal experiences, with neurodivergence being just one facet of a person's identity, and how intergenerational trauma impacts these experiences.
You can find out more about Leah's work at https://www.theperinatalspecialist.com/ and on Instagram @theperinatalspecialist.
Leah references the book 'Postraumatic Slave Syndrome' by Dr Joy DeGruy https://www.joydegruy.com/ in the episode.
